Murder Mystery Nights

Please be aware that Murder Mystery story-lines may vary

THE MURDER OF GOVERNOR BARNABY The year is 1864 and the prison Governor, Gustav Barnaby, has been murdered! With the help of Officer Key from the Leen Side Police Station you will play sleuth, explore the gaol, interrogate the suspects and take part in the most fascinating Murder Mystery in Nottingham… But be warned, they will do all they can to throw you off the scent!

The event begins in our stately Grand Jury Room, which provides the ideal backdrop to our Victorian Murder Mystery event. Historically used by deliberating Jury members, the room is spacious enough for guests to congregate and our specially selected house wines are served. Officer Key will then summon the guests to the magnificent oak paneled Criminal Court, where he will explain what he has discovered of the murder so far, discuss his list of suspects and their motives, and take questions from the group before sending them into the murky depths of the prison below. It is here, in one of the worst prisons in Victorian Britain, that the suspects will be questioned, their motives discovered and the webs of doubt and suspicion untangled as they explain their stories to the groups. Guests are then directed back to the Grand Jury Room for drinks, discussions and a hot buffet before Officer Key gathers the evidence collected by the groups and the murderer is finally revealed! For private bookings the timings of the evening are dependent on the size of your group and the evening is flexible. The average evening lasts approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours.
