Primary Schools

All educational activities for Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils are linked to the national curriculum with a strong focus on History, Citizenship, English, PSHE and Drama.

To make your learning more tailored to suit your pupils’ needs you can choose up to 3 activities during your visit. The cost of the visit correlates to the number of activities you choose:

1 activity = £6.95 per pupil
2 activities = £8.50 per pupil
3 activities = £10 per pupil

The activities have been split into topics:

Citizenship and History
Explore the Old County Gaol on the Crime and Punishment tour, handle original and replica artefacts in an Object Handling session(Years 3, 4, 5, and 6)

The Victorians
Discover how the Victorians dealt with crime in Reform School, Narrow Marsh and a selection of Victorian Mock Trials. 

The Tudors
Put famous Tudor heroes in the dock to question if find out if they were Privateers or really Pirates in a brand new Mock Trial.

WW2
Take part in a 1942 school class and put a WW2 evacuee in the dock in a Mock Trial.

English and Literacy
Introduce the law and courts to younger years through putting familiar literary characters on trial: NCCL’s brand new Mock Trials include Alice In Wonderland and Goldilocks and the Three Bears – suitable for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2!

Contemporary Activities
Bring your pupil’s legal literacy up to date through a contemporary Mock Trial – Tyrones Story, or introduce younger students to keeping them and their belongings safe in an all day crime reduction session* (*Burglar Bill session is a stand alone session and costs £10 per pupil. It is excluded from the ‘choose up to 3 activities’ pricing structure)
