Completed in 1889, the awe-inspiring Victorian Civil Courtroom provides a unique and dramatic backdrop for any occasion. Ideal for conferences, presentations, mock trials, special events and award ceremonies. Maximum capacity: 100 Theatre Style Room size:1,900 sq ft (including upper balcony)

Grand Jury Room

The 19th Century Grand Jury Room is an inspiring area for all types of events, including training sessions, conferences and seminars. Its unique environment is perfect for formal dinners, banquets and cocktail evenings. Maximum capacity: 80 Theatre Style / 60 Cabaret Style / 30 Boardroom Style Room size: 960 sq ft

Smaller more intimate rooms

The Magistrates Suite is two tier with lounge area (left) and upper board room, the Youth Court offers a quirky alternative there are also other areas which maintain the unique atmosphere but suit smaller events, or to act as anterooms. Victorian Murder Mystery at the County Gaol

The year is 1856 and the murdered corpse of one of the prison staff has just been discovered. We want you to play sleuth and inspect the gaol and question the suspects. But be warned, they’ll do all they can to throw you off the scent. Interactive performance is mingled with dinner and drinks.

After hours Crime and Punishment Tour

With exclusive access to one of Nottinghamshire’s most iconic buildings, hear about the marauders and murderers that have passed through or met their end right here. Prison life was bleak and brutal, take in the stories and experience the courts, gaol and caves after hours.

Ghost Suppers

Follow in the footsteps of Yvette Fielding and the Most Haunted team by going deep within our gaol to discover unsolved mysteries and see if anything paranormal happens to you. With unexplained sounds, smells, sensations and apparitions reported frequently, it won’t only be the story teller giving you the heebie jeebies. Whether you’re a believer or not you’re still going to enjoy some great food and drink and have a fun time.
